New in stock at Sweetwater Sound: After selling who knows how many of the highly acclaimed MDR7500 series headphones Sony has finally added two new models to the line. New in stock are the MDR-7505 (retail price $130) and MDR-7509 (retail price $250). The MDR-7505 fall right between the 7504 and 7506 and deliver nearly 7506 quality for a nearly 7504 price. The 7509’s are the new flagship model. They’re even louder and better sounding than 7506, which has been a near studio standard for people wanting loud, clear headphones.
Logic Audio 4.0.4 has been posted to the Emagic web site. Most significant to this release is the extended support of the Yamaha DSP Factory. It is now possible to use native internal plug-ins, DirectX plug-ins (Windows) or VST plug-ins (Mac) together with the effects of the DS2416 card.
