Apogee has announced a new family of Thunderbolt audio interfaces, the Element series. These streamlined audio interfaces feature Apogee’s legendary analog-to-digital conversion quality, standard-setting mic preamps, and plenty of I/O — at a revolutionary price for hardware of this quality.
But that’s not all that’s revolutionary here; the Elements are controlled using convenient, intuitive Element Control software — you’re already recording into your DAW, why not control your interface from the same computer? Plus, you can wirelessly control Element using apps for iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. A hardware remote control will also be available.
There are three members in the Element family: Element 24 (10×12, with two mic preamps and 8-channel ADAT I/O), Element 46 (12×14, with four mic preamps, 8-channel ADAT I/O, and dual headphone outs), and Element 88 (16×16, with eight mic preamps, 16-channel ADAT I/O, dual monitor outs, and dual headphone outs).
