Analog Delay

A delay or echo processor that accomplishes its task by running incoming audio through analog circuits, such as a “bucket brigade” delay chip, to delay it before playing it back. Modulation and other processing may be added to the delayed signal to create chorus, flange, and other effects, and regeneration or feedback may be used to create multiple repeats.

While a tape delay is technically an analog delay, the two types are usually considered separate types of items.
