AC Line Regulators

Whether you work mainly in a studio, local clubs or on the road, a line regulator is a great thing to have for preventative maintenance. A wide variety of gear problems can be traced to instabilities in AC power. A line regulator, which actually stabilizes the AC voltage a device sees to a constant 117 volts (regardless of the voltage coming out of the wall outlet) will enable your gear to work happily through brown-outs, voltage dips and sags, and over-voltage situations, without fear of damage to delicate circuits. (Don’t confuse a line regulator with the more common line conditioner, which protects from quick voltage spikes and line noise, but does not actually stabilize AC voltage.)
