The Audio Engineering Society (AES) is the world’s only professional organization dedicated to audio technology. AES was founded in 1948 and now consists of more than 12,000 musicians, audio engineers, scientists, educators, and students across more than 90 professional sections and more than 120 student sections all around the world. Many Sweetwater employees and customers are AES members, and together, we represent the world’s foremost authorities for all things audio.
Held every fall, the AES Convention is one of the industry’s largest gatherings of music and audio professionals. During the convention, many panels are hosted by the world’s foremost authorities in audio research. These talented individuals spearhead the technologies and products that we all love and use in our own studios, including MIDI 2.0, immersive audio, AI, acoustics design, audio archiving, and much, much more. Naturally, Sweetwater attended this year’s AES Convention to get the skinny on which new audio and music developments are on the horizon and will soon be coming to our Fulfillment Centers . . . and then on to your studios!
