New in stock at Sweetwater Sound: We’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is we just got our first big batch of Digi 001 systems. The bad news is we don’t have enough to fill our current backorders. But we have more on the way. If you want to be one of the first people to get one call us up and get your order in right now (you can read the rest of inSync later). For a limited time we are even bundling them with a free DVerb plug-in. We’ve already done extensive comparisons with 001 and other popular hard disk recording products. If you want to get the real scoop on what’s happening give your Sweetwater Sales Engineer a call and they can tell you all about it.
In other Digidesign news, they now are the distributors for Lexicon’s Lexiverb plug-in. There is a new 2.0 Mix compliant version available and anyone owning version 1 can download a free upgrade from Digidesign’s Web site.
Emagic has announced that version 4.0.6 of Logic Audio Platinum now supports the Apple G4 Velocity Engine. The support can be toggled on and off in the software (we’re not sure why anyone would turn it off), but when on you will have an increased number of audio channels available.
