New in stock at Sweetwater Sound: Antares has shipped us their limited edition version of AutoTune for VST. The $99 (retail) plug-in, aptly named AutoTune VST LE, differs from the full versions of Auto-Tune in that it offers only Auto-Tune’s Automatic Mode pitch correction. Automatic Mode uses advanced DSP algorithms to detect the incoming pitch of a voice or solo instrument in real-time and correct it, if necessary, to a desired pitch.
A new interactive Web site called Icast is looking for emerging musicians, DJs and filmmakers prior to their big rollout (see on line registration form). The people behind this site have a lot of industry experience and know-how. This may be an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of something really cool.
We’d like to thank Keyboard Magazine for awarding our Music Industry Career Center Web site one of their top 25 Web site awards in the newly released 25th anniversary issue. Even though the site has been active only a few months we’ve already heard a number of instances of people finding great new career directions with fast moving companies.
