At long last Korg has shipped the awesome Oasys card. The Oasys is a standard PCI card containing a very powerful synthesizer and effects processor. The Oasys project, which has been through many permutations in the past five years, is what spawned awesome products like the Trinity and Triton keyboards. The Oasys is the granddaddy of the current Korg state of the art with unprecedented features and sound quality.
Our May WSOTM (Web Site of the Month) is especially for those of you who have too much time on your hands. You know who you are… and we do too. You’re the ones who send in the nit-picky messages about inconsequential details. The ones who while away hours on your Playstations. The ones who endlessly surf the Internet looking for anything interesting. The nerds. Okay, we’re nerds too, we admit it. And we think SodaPlay Constructor is cool (very powerful Java stuff), even though it is a colossal waste of time.
A special public service announcement:
Our friends in Nine Inch Nails are in the middle of their US tour and have just about run out of keyboards to smash. The destruction is rampant and they may be headed for a town near you soon so watch out. If any of you have old original Yamaha DX-7 keyboards you would like to sell to Trent and the gang please send us an e-mail (inSync@sweetwater.com) with details. We will put them in contact with you. Just think, you can unload an old keyboard for a fair price and possibly get free passes to a show where you can see them smash it to pieces first hand! And on top of that you can prevent untold amounts of potential damage to hotels and limousines that would no doubt result if they run out of equipment to destroy. Again, only owners of original DX-7’s (no IIfd or any other variants) need apply.
