Arturia has announced the upcoming release of a perfect hybrid of two synthesizers that changed the face of music during the 1970s and 80s. The Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 was the first true polyphonic analog synth and also one of the first programmable models. Though it had an (for the time) astronomical price tag, Sequential couldn’t seem to build enough of them. After the sucess of the original Prophet, sequential designed the Prophet VS (for Vector Synthesis). Only a handful were built, but the concept went on in a new incarnation as the Korg Wavestation, which was also a red-hot seller. Now Arturia is putting those two unique synths together in a plug-in it’s calling the Prophet V.
