If there’s a knock on Reason 3.0, maybe it’s that the onboard grand piano isn’t really convincing when heard all by itself. Well, the folks at Propellerheads have just released the Reason Pianos ReFill, which gives you access to three amazingly authentic, hypersampled acoustic pianos with the kind of presence and playability you normally expect from collections costing three or four times as much. There’s a Steinway D (considered by some to be the world’s finest grand piano), the Yamaha C7 (a classic rock staple with a distinctive sound), and the Steinway K (a well balanced upright known for its deep tone).
