Native Instruments has updated Guitar Rig to v2.2.2. This update fixes the “no output” issue. The release notes state:
– Guitar Rig is now 100%-compatible with Intel Macintosh Computer.
– FixedComponents.fcf issue has been fixed (Under certain circumstances this led to a burst error overload or silence when using Guitar Rig in a host).
Native Instruments also appears to have updated the Windows versions of Pro-53 (v3.0.4), Spektral Delay (v1.6.0) and Vokator (v1.2.0), bringing their version numbers in line with the Mac versions. (Note that the release notes suggest you will need to reauthorize after updating.)
Focusrite has announced that version 2.0 software for the multi-channel DSP-based EQ and Compression tool, Liquid Mix, is now available as a free download for all registered users. This version includes an EQ side-chain on the compressor, providing an additional 1-band EQ to be fed into the side-chain of any classic compressor emulation, which can then be monitored separately. The software also provides some extremely useful improvements and several solutions in response to requests from hard-core Liquid Mix users, including enhanced interaction between software and hardware, as well as expanded latency options.
