I got a TREMENDOUS improvement in localization and perceived depth when I killed a back wall reflective area. Gone also were the extremely annoying cancellation and reinforcement zones throughout the audio spectrum most noticeable in the 1 kHz to 7 kHz range. Just my observations.

The paint brushes work great, that is, if they are a natural hair product. Some of the synthetic hairs will create static that repels dust and could even push the dust deeper into the crevices of your equipment.
