Y2K Issues With Keyboards

We are still having customers inquire as to the Y2K status of various instruments and electronic devices in their collections. The general rule of thumb is that if you don’t ever see or enter a date in the device it is very unlikely there will be any problems when the year 2000 comes. Keyboards and effects processors will not be affected. Macintosh computers will not have problems because their internal clocks use a four-digit year code. Most problems will occur with high-end mainframe computers and older Windows machines. There is a Microsoft Web site for the most thorough information about year 2000 issues with all Microsoft products. There is a ton of other information on the Internet about this as well.
