The last few Tech Tips have dealt with automating the Bomb Factory PSA-1, and we thought it wouldn’t hurt to do a quick summary of how to automate plug-ins in Pro Tools. It’s a very easy process.
1. Open the plug-in.
2. Inside the plug-in window, click the “auto” button.
3. A window will open with a list of parameters that are available to be
automated.
4. Select the parameters you want and click “Add.”
5. In the Edit window, click the Track View Selector, and select the parameters of the plug-in that you want to automate.
6. Draw the automation like you would for any other automated move.
