Modifier keys are the “key” to quickly performing tasks in Pro Tools. Holding Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows) and clicking applies a change to all tracks, such as enabling all tracks for recording. Another handy function of the Alt key: Holding the Alt key while dragging a plug-in to a different track copies the plug-in and their respective settings to the new track. This trick is great for applying the same EQ to a doubled guitar part or vocals.
