Making a Loop from an Audio Selection in Digital Performer

If you hear some audio that you think might make a good loop while working in DP5, highlight the section you want to loop (it doesn’t have to be perfect at this point) and then switch to Loop Mode where you’ll choose Create Loop from Selection from the menu. Once the loop points have been inserted, you can zoom in and adjust the loop’s start and stop points until you have a good, clean loop with no clicks or pops. This works in many other applications (in BIAS Peak, for instance) in a similar manner. Often a few interesting loops can be salvaged from even a mostly lackluster performance and turned into creative inspiration for a whole new song.
