When you’re scrubbing your audio clean using BIAS SoundSoap Pro’s Broadband Mode, you’ll see the familiar Attack and Release knobs. But what’s the deal with the Attack Tilt knob? Glad you asked, because this control allows you to adjust the ratio of the attack between low-frequency and high-frequency bands. Example: If the Attack Knob is set to 50ms and the Attack Tilt is set to a value of 1.0, the attack time for all frequencies is 50ms. However, if you set the Attack Tilt knob to 2.0, the attack time for the highest frequency bands will be 25ms. Thus the Attack Tilt produces a 2:1 ratio between lowest and highest frequencies. In this example, moving from the lowest frequency band to the highest, each successive band will have a proportionately lower attack value. A Tilt value of 4.0 equals a 4:1 ratio. This is a very handy feature, and is also the same way the Release Tilt control works.
