A Plug-in Clarification

Q: I am considering the purchase of the IK Multimedia AmpliTube plug-ins, but I’m unclear of a point: Can this software run in both standalone mode, as well as integrate into my DAW (Cubase)? I would assume I can record using the plug-ins, correct?

A: It is true that IK’s AmpliTube can run in standalone mode (in a live concert situation for example), as well as in plug-in mode. The tiny caveat is, you can’t record Amplitube’s output to your DAW when using it in standalone mode. Only when using Amplitube as a plug-in will your DAW record the effected signal.
