Novation has teamed up with Ableton to launch Launchpad, a new dedicated controller for Ableton Live. The new controller features a multi-color, 64-button grid for launching clips, controlling the mixer, playing drum parts, and more. There are dedicated scene launch buttons. The unit is Automap-enabled for plug-in and instrument control. Up to six Launchpads can be linked for even more control. Launchpad comes with a special Live 8 Launchpad Edition and a gigabyte of sound content. The controller is small enough to slip into a laptop bag for on-the-go use.
