The Audio Engineering Society has just released the attendance numbers for the recently completed 123rd AES Convention, which took place in New York City’s Javits Center from October 5th through the 8th. Attendees numbering 20,674 visited more than 445 exhibits and attended more than 150 conference events, making this the largest show in over a decade. AES takes pride in being the only audio conference to cover all the bases, from facility design through broadcasting and on into the newest music technology. Many of the events were standing room only and even the very last session on Monday afternoon drew a surprisingly large crowd. No doubt many are looking forward to next year’s show in San Francisco, from October 2nd through the 5th.
