If you’re like most studio owners, you have to compromise while mixing. You probably have only a couple of monitoring options in your control room (or maybe only a single pair of monitors), and no matter how good those monitors may be, you could always use a second (or third, or fourth) pair of speakers to use for reference. Enter the new DriveRack Studio! Designed to deliver not only the benefits of several different monitoring systems in a single black box, but a host of other functions essential in today’s studio control room environmen, the DriveRack Studio offers the power of the DriveRack series to studio everywhere!
Studio Monitor Emulation
While a shelf full of speakers might make your studio look impressive, it’s also space consuming and expensive. The DriveRack Studio addresses this dilemma by allowing you to emulate the sound of various environments and popular monitoring systems! In addition to 7 dimming and matrixing functions, the DriveRack features 17 internal presets that are designed to imitate various systems and environments – designed by the studio genius’ at Sweetwater!
Tune Your Room For Maximum Accuracy!
Chances are your spare bedroom (rehearsal space, converted garage or basement studio) is much less flat than Russ Berger’s latest studio design. The DriveRack Studio delivers all the tools you need for you to tune your own room – big or small – creating a more accurate listening environment for a fraction of the cost! By using the built-in RTA (Real Time Analyzer) system, you can quickly and easily find the frequencies that are being boosted or attenuated naturally by your listening environment and monitors. The DriveRack Studio will then automatically adjust its own EQ settings to “tune” or equalize those frequencies to compensate.
Studio Output & Monitor Management
For those of you who are fortunate enough to have a multitude of monitor pairs in your studio, the DriveRack Studio offers output matrix functionality allowing you to send program material to any of three programmable stereo outputs. These outputs can be connected to different sets of studio monitors, additional recording devices, amplifiers, headphone systems or any combination of the above and beyond!
