Reviews

Excellent for bassist used to 34" scale
These are well made, good quality strings. If you Normally play a regular 34" scale bass, the BASS VI can feel a little loose. Especially the low E string. This set of Fender strings fixes that and makes the short scale bass feel more like a traditional bass. If you play 6 string guitar as your main instrument, these strings will feel to heavy and I'd suggest going with the lighter D'Addario 24-84 set.
As always, thanks to my Rep, Greg Savino, for always being there to handle my questions and concerns. Much appreciated.
As they should be
No way around it, great product from Fender, perfect for the bass VI, not sure why these are not on it from the sales floor. They bring a better feel while playing and resolve any intonation on the 6th string the bass VI might have. My bass VI did not have an issue, but after a few days of playing I figured I bought them, slap them on, great move as it did improve the feel all round and a better sound and performance for the 6th string. Thanks to all the folks who shared this as a first improvement to a bass VI.
The Best
This set will MAKE a Bass VI playable. The factory E1 string is only 80-something gauge, and Ernie Ball and D'Addario strings are also 80-something gauge. That is far too light for E1. In fact, normal basses use 85 for the A1. You need something larger for that E1, and this set is EXACTLY what you need.

No wonder basses use 100 gauge for E1. It works. If you use this set, it will unlock what a Bass VI is supposed to be.

Best of all, this set is not $ like the LaBella set.

Very happy
String tension is way better with these. No more fret rattles.
Cool strings basically a Bass VI version of a Balanced Light set.
It's interesting that they've worked around the Floppy Low E issue by bumping the gauges of the 3 lowest strings & now the Lowest string is a 100 which is a common gauge for Bass Guitar. Innovations & improved formulas go together as a team.
