Mid-side configuration pairs wide front-facing cardioid polarity with a side-facing bidirectional pickup for spacious audio depth that’s rich with texture. An onboard switch lets you pick between a 90-degree pickup angle (focused) or a 120-degree angle (wide) for maximum customization, and mid-side is a great option for live recording because it reduces your need to reposition your camera and body to accommodate subjects. This unit’s impressive frequency range of 50Hz to 18kHz is suited for soft and loud environments.
Lightweight, durable construction
Ready for mobile use, the Video Mic MS is built from lightweight durable die-cast metal that transports easily. The mic has two power options: power it straight from a camera battery or use one LR44 battery (not included).
