AlphaTheta’s Groove Circuit can be imagined as a dedicated, all-in-one suite of performance effects, sound design, and composition exclusively for drums and powered by recordbox. With virtually any style or genre, the DDJ-GRV6’s dedicated suite of Groove Circuit controls lets you remix, re-work, or completely replace partial or complete drum tracks. Transitions, build-ups, fills, and breakdowns are now yours to shape and wield, thanks to the Groove Circuit’s four distinct tools: Drum Swap, Drum Roll/Trans, Drum Release, and Capture.
- Drum Swap: real-time drum replacement for tracks active on your current deck, with loops seamlessly swapped from a customizable bank, with a single-button push
- Drum Roll/Trans: your go-to spot with four slots for on-the-fly drum rolls, fills, and transitions, with expanded rhythmic contouring available from dedicated Roll and Trans effects

When using the DDJ-GRV6 with Serato DJ Pro, the Groove Circuit is transmuted into a one-stop shop for surgical stem extraction and imaginative mixes, using the exacting precision of Serato’s Stems FX tool kit. Dedicated buttons for instantaneous extraction of Drum, Bass, Vocal, and Melody parts let you weave and manipulate distinct stems, applying Roll, Trans, Echo Out, and Delay effects for individual parts. Plus, AlphaTheta’s included a pair of overlays that drop right on top of the Groove Circuit, eliminating any confusion around use with Serato DJ Pro.
Ergonomic interfacing for pro-grade club performance
With its CDJ–DJM-inspired arrangement, AlphaTheta’s DDJ-GRV6 features an intuitive, versatile layout that’s been ergonomically arranged to maximize creative potential while maintaining a club-standard configuration. Its suite of Groove Circuit and Stems FX tools are placed on an elevated “step up” at the top of the controller to give you plenty of room for remixing and beat-swapping without worrying you’ll bump the jog wheels. Between the two areas, you’ll find each side hosts eight performance pads — just like the flagship CDJ-3000 — that expand your performance capabilities with expressive, customizable per-deck sampling, one-shots, and more. The centrally placed Smart Rotary Selector features a 2-axis tilt, in addition to standard rotation and push-selection operation, that streamlines navigation across media, tree views, and track listings, making pain-free work of building and adapting your set. Plus, the nearby Discover button lets you quickly access new music and time-tested classics, thanks to the intuitive Track Suggestion feature.
