Optimized for unmatched playability
Though lauded for their technical prowess and masterful designs, Ola Strandberg and his dedicated team in Sweden never rest on their laurels. Per Nilsson’s take on Strandberg’s iconic Boden boasts exceptional optimizations throughout, spearheaded by a fast-playing Ebonol fingerboard and a rock-solid EGS Rev7 hardtail bridge. A composite material made from layers of black paper and phenolic resin, Ebonol offers enhanced durability and resistance to wear. Moreover, its smooth playing surface makes it a superb, high-performance alternative to traditional woods, such as ebony and rosewood. Not to mention, its 24 frets are made from stainless steel — a player-favorite fret material around Sweetwater for its incredible resistance to wear over time. As for the EGS Rev7, it delivers a tighter, smoother response than previous versions, bolstered by heavy-duty string locks, ensuring bulletproof tuning stability — even under extreme playing conditions.
Alnico articulation meets modern metal muscle
Thanks to its Swedish-made Lundgren Anomaly 7 humbuckers, the Strandberg Boden Singularity NX 7 offers incredible tonal diversity. These Nilsson-spec’d pickups contain responsive Alnico V magnets, along with a medium-output wind, enabling the nuances of your playing to shine through, completely unmasked and without excessive compression. That said, Anomaly humbuckers are certainly capable of scorching-hot grind, delivering crushing rhythm clarity and searing lead articulation. Moreover, they balance aggression with incredibly lucid note definition, providing you with tight low-end clarity and detailed mids, ideal for complex musical styles, such as technical and progressive metal. You’ll also benefit from amazing clean sounds with plenty of body and high-end sparkle. Beyond that, the Singularity flaunts versatile wiring and switching, giving rise to ear-grabbing series and parallel split-coil textures.
Strandberg: delectable headless workhorses for all players
If you’ve browsed the message boards or scrolled through pages of progressive guitar YouTube videos, odds are, you’re fully aware of the awe-inspiring ingenuity that Strandberg guitars bring to the table. Founded by Swedish luthier Ola Strandberg, Strandberg serves as a direct response to the lack of mass-produced headless instruments with a heavy focus on ergonomics. Each Strandberg boasts a headless design that removes mass from the headstock for lower weight and improved balance, with custom lightweight aluminum bridge hardware contributing to the instrument’s tone. The EndurNeck has been a calling card for Strandberg guitars since their inception — this titanium-reinforced neck sports a rear-shafted trapezoid shape, possessing incredible comfort and noticeable stability. Multi-scale fingerboards with stainless steel frets are a standard feature on these stringed sportscars, allowing lower strings to intonate better at higher tension and making bending high notes a breeze.
