Make a Splash with Zildjian

NOTE: Cymbals are not returnable.

Looking to make a splash? The Zildjian 9" K Custom Hybrid Splash Cymbal was designed with the input of highly acclaimed drummer Akira Jimbo. The objective was to combine darkness and brilliance - and you'll be happy to know that the operation was a success. If you've seen and heard how Mr. Jimbo, Mike Portnoy or Stewart Copeland use their splashes, you've got the idea. The delightful thing about the 9" K Custom Hybrid Splash, is that it hits lower than than you'd expect, yielding impressive midrange punch - an auditory adrenaline blast that perfectly offsets your china cymbal and whatever other accent surprises your kit is packing. The Zildjian 9" K Custom Hybrid Splash is an inexpensive, yet invaluable addition to your kit.

Zildjian 9" K Custom Hybrid Splash Cymbal Features at a Glance:

Reviews

Different sounds, but no need to fear change
This cymbal is quite unique when it's comes to the sound and looks. I love this concept of having 2 sides of the cymbal's look. Having Zildjian's traditional finish around the bow and the brilliant finish on the bell, it gives the cymbal a unique sound when played. This, combined with my 8" S family splash, I have a very cool "tiny explosion" sound when I hit both. It took some getting used to with the sound, but in the end, it sounds great.
Awesome splash cymbal
What a great sounding cymbal. Very complex and musical. Just what I hoped it would be. This will surely improve my sound on many levels.
Perfect!
I Love everything about this splash... finally found the one that has the right balance of volume and tone for my setup.
Not great sounding
One of the worst sounding splash cymbals I've ever owned. The bell is pretty much useless as well, and for the price you could do a lot better.

Ask any drummer at Sweetwater, and chances are, we'll tell you that Zildjian represents the gold - or rather bronze - standard in cymbal making. Seriously, Avedis Zildjian may have been trying to make gold, but he did even better when he formulated what's arguably the best cymbal material on the planet. We've played virtually every type of Zildjian cymbal out there, and you won't find anyone at Sweetwater who wouldn't happily recommend their instruments to you, plus their sticks and other accessories are also pretty sweet. Whether you're grabbing your first S or Planet Z pack or have saved up for the A or K series cymbals you've always wanted, Sweetwater is your source for all things Zildjian.
