sync, MTC, How do I sync the DA88 w/ SY88 to software based sequencer using MTC ?
Time code must be striped to the DA88 tape (doesn’t use up a track)
To stripe a tape:
a) Insert a new tape
b) Press the formart button twice
c) Press the TC Record button
d) Press PLAY and RECORD at the same time
e) Press the TC Generate button.
Run the tape to the end.
DIP SWITCH POSITION:
The second dip switch from the left should be the only one in the up position.
Of course make sure you have it connected to your midi interface.
IN THE SOFTWARE:
Make sure the software is set to external sync.
Set it to receive MTC at 30fps (non drop)
Make sure that the software is set to receive sync on the port that your interface is connected to.
Press play in the software/ it shouild sit and wait for MTC from the DA88. Press play on the DA88. Wha-La!
