Why do I need a SyncDA?
Here are some of the reasons to add a Sync DA to your rig:
* Six additional word clock outputs to run a discrete low jitter clock signal to each piece of digital gear, plus allow for easy clock distribution as your digital studio grows and expands.
* Distribution of clock over long cable runs (across or between rooms etc.) via AES/EBU. The reason for this is that Word Clock can only get low-jitter performance within about 15 feet (5 meters). By using the Sync DA‚s AES/EBU input, this lets you carry a low-jitter digital audio clock much longer distances.
* Additional Superclock outputs (2) for Digidesign Pro Tools.
* Avoids having to “daisy chain” or “tee off” clock between devices, by having multiple outputs to clock each piece of gear individually.
* Use the Sync DA as a master clock. Since it can take either Word Clock or AES input, it can distribute that clock to the rest of the studio to avoid daisy chaining and teeing off which can help you avoid clicks & pops and other sync incompatibilities.
