How do I make a bootable CD for my Mac using Toast?

In the process of making a bootable CD there are a few things to keep in mind.
1) You must be booted off of a MacOS System Folder that is at least the same if not newer than the MacOS System Folder you are trying to put on the bootable CD.
2) Some Control Panels and Extensions can not be used on a locked volume (CD). A good rule of thumb is to keep the System Folder to only the required items. A good example would be a bootable CD made by Apple.
3) Use the latest version of Toast , never use a version prior to 3.5.5.
If you avoid these common mistakes you will have a much greater chance of success.
There are two different ways to make a bootable CD.
The first method is
1) Launch Toast 3.5.5 or later.
2) Insert a MacOS system disc from Apple into your internal CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.
3) Pulldown from the Format menu to Mac Volume. In Toast 5 Titanium you can access the Mac Volume format from the button labled “Other” in the main Toast window.
4) In the main Toast window click on the Data button.
5) In the window that appears select the MacOS system disc you had inserted previously.
6) Click the checkbox next to Bootable and then click OK.
7) In the main Toast window click Write CD… , insert a blank CD-R and then in the next dialog box that appears click Write Disc.
The second method is
(This method requires enough hard drive space to store a disc image)
1) Launch Toast 3.5.5 or later.
2) Pulldown from the Utilities menu to Create Temporary Partition…
3) In the dialog box that appears, type in the name you want the bootable disc to be labeled and click OK
4) You will notice there is now a volume mounted on your desktop.
5) Drag a valid System Folder into this new volume, keeping in mind the first two issues mentioned at the top of this article.
6) Pulldown from the Format menu to Mac Volume. In Toast 5 Titanium you can access the Mac Volume format from the button labled “Other” in the main Toast window.
7) In the main Toast window click on the Data button.
8) In the window that appears select that new volume that you had created in Steps 2 and 3.
9) Click the checkbox next to Bootable and then click OK.
10) In the main Toast window click Write CD… , insert a blank CD-R and then in the next dialog box that appears click Write Disc.
