Is iPod compatible with my computer?
iPod is compatible with both Macintosh computers and PCs.
iPod for the Mac requires an Apple computer with a built-in FireWire port and Mac OS 9.2.2 or Mac OS X 10.1.4 or later; Mac OS X 10.2 or later is recommended.
iPod for Windows requires a PC with built-in FireWire or Windows-certified FireWire card and Windows Me, Windows 2000, or Windows XP Home or Professional.
