I’ve installed XPand! on my Mac and it appears in ProTools, but there’s a message stating it cannot locate the Xpand!.dat file.
First, make sure XPand!.dat is located in the proper location on your Mac:
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign
If XPand!.dat is there but still doesn’t work, try using the “Set Content Location” utility available as a download http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?navid=115&langid=100&itemid=4784&mkt=ALL&downloadid=28997
