INITIAL SETUP
Connect a MIDI cable from the MIDI OUT of the RD-500 to the MIDI IN of the sequencer. Then, connect another MIDI cable from the MIDI OUT of the sequencer to the MIDI IN of the RD-500.
When sequencing with the RD-500, it is recommended that you turn LOCAL CONTROL OFF and turn on the THRU function of your sequencer. Use the following procedure to change the LOCAL setting of the RD-500:
1. Press FUNC.
2. Press LOCAL.
3. Press DEC twice to set LOCAL to OFF.
4. Press FUNC to exit this function mode.
