How do I create a FX send and return in ProTools 5.x ?
1.Create a Stereo Aux Track
2. Insert your effect of choice.
3. If the plugin has a wet/dry mix, set it to 100% wet.
4.Set the input of the Aux track to “Bus 1+2” , and leave its output to Analog 1+2.(or where ever you are monitoring your main mix from)
5. Now on your Audio Track create a send , and assign it to “Bus 1+2”.
6.A Fader will appear. How you set this determines how much of that audio track is sent to the FX Aux track!
7.Thats it , blend to taste.
