Can a CD or DAT Machine be connected digitally?
Yes: Most pro-level, and some consumer level, audio DAT and CD-R machines do include Optical In/Out ports. Simply assign the MIX Outputs to the digital AES/EBU or SP-DIF outputs, and send that signal in the digital domain to the Input of the DAT or CD-R recorder.
