With iZotope's iris, you can create synthesized sounds never before possible. iris uses iZotope's acclaimed spectral processing (introduced in iZotope's RX audio restoration software), to allow you to isolate specific elements of a sound sample. The sound quality goes far beyond what you would get from using a bandpass filter to isolate frequency bands. You can, for example, take a sample of a piano, isolate just the overtones and harmonics, and layer that on top of the fundamental notes of a guitar, to create a unique hybrid instrument. And no matter what type of sound you create, you can add a suboscillator waveform to the sound to add extra impact and musicality.
