Built-in Wi-Fi and tablet integration for unprecedented mixing mobility

Behringer's XR18 gives you the ultimate in mixing mobility. Imagine always being able to mix from the most advantageous spot in the house! The XR18 acknowledges the reality of modern live mixing — that you don't want to be tied down to a fixed front-of-house mix location. Integrated Wi-Fi gives you remote control over the mixer's functions from your tablet or laptop without needing to set up and configure an external router. Now you can focus on your mix, moving around the venue to experience what your audience is hearing at any place in the auditorium. Tweak the mix from the balcony. Adjust the monitors from the performers' perspective. This is live mixing the way it should be — natural and intuitive. The result will be better-sounding shows!

  • Mix from anywhere in the venue
  • Instant wireless for your tablet or laptop
  • Complete remote control over mix functions
  • No need to set up and configure an external router

Let the Performers Mix Their Own Monitors

Compatibility with Behringer's Personal Monitoring System

The XR18's wireless capability makes it easy for you to modify a monitor mix from the performers' onstage perspective, but why not let the musicians mix their own IEMs or floor wedges? The XR18 features an Ultranet port for easy audio routing over Cat 5e cable to other Ultranet-compatible gear. Compatibility with Behringer's P16-M Personal Monitoring System means you can concentrate on whipping up a killer house mix and leave the monitor mix to the performers (trust us, they'll thank you for it). Now that's smart mixing! With 16 channels of personal monitoring, plus six aux sends to feed stage wedges, delayed mixes, or secondary rooms, you have it covered. If you've got big stadium gigs booked, then you'll be glad to know that you can easily integrate the XR18 into a larger setup using its Ethernet port to connect to a wired network or a monster router. The XR18 includes free iOS and Android apps for remote operation.

  • P16-M Personal Monitoring System compatible
  • 16 channels of personal monitoring
  • Six aux sends to feed stage wedges, etc.
  • Ethernet port connects to wired network

Great-sounding Mixes Start Here

Pristine preamps, ultra-wide dynamic range, and more

With 16 Midas-designed mic preamps and 40-bit floating-point DSP that delivers virtually unlimited dynamic range with no internal overload and vanishingly low latency, the XR18 delivers impeccable sound quality — the same as Behringer's acclaimed X32 digital mixer. The XR18's preamps are fully gain-programmable and remote-controllable from your iOS or Android device, for nearly unlimited flexibility in a live show situation. Because applications are loaded to the specific device, you can prepare your channel layout offline while sitting in the tour bus before a show.

  • Acclaimed X32 technology for impeccable sound quality
  • Fully gain-programmable, remote-controllable preamps
  • Applications loaded to specific device
  • Facilitates offline pre-production

Studio-quality Effects

Virtual FX Rack with four true-stereo multi-effects processors

The XR18 has an entire arsenal of effects under the hood. The XR18's virtual FX Rack gives you four true-stereo (8 mono) multi-effects processors, including delay, chorus, and dynamics. This engine is beefy enough to simultaneously run high-quality, true-stereo reverbs and 31-band EQ, without the need for additional hardware. Select any combination of high-end simulations of classic studio reverbs such as the Lexicon 480L and PCM70, the EMT250, or the Quantec QRS. The XR18's onboard processing means your computer won't be tasked with additional heavy lifting during a mixdown session with numerous plug ins.

  • Four stereo multi-effects processors
  • Simulations of legendary studio reverbs
  • Robust FX engine
  • Lightens the load on your computer

Amazing mixer

I was very skeptic before purchasing this mixer, i actually got to use it right away didn't even learn too much about how to use it. Having no experience about digital mixer i was scared and didn't know how things will go but i still decided to use it.. i will never regret set up was ready to go in less than an hour since i had already created the whole show from home all i had to do is turn up the volumes and make fine adjustment and i was ready to go,,, sound so much better from my analogue consoles didn't even need a sound booth to set up at i was seated with my laptop at the first row seat mixing the whole band.. never been this excited cant wait for them to come up with a 32 channel XAir i will definitely get it

Behringer X AIR XR18 Mixer

After much research and angst I bought the XR18 a couple of weeks ago to replace my Mackie ONYX 1620i. I could not be happier with the choice. Mackie makes great gear but clearly the XR is a generation ahead in networking, wireless connectivity, compact size, on board effects, and use of touch devices for virutal control. The pricing is exceptionally good compared to other similar gear but the XR is well made and well supported. I called Behringer phone support to find out how to properly route AUX outputs and set up and external router. My cell phone disconnected me twice for some reason but not before a different support tech answered each time within minutes. The third tech (Jeff) was exceptionally patient and helpful. We play a gig this Saturday and will be using the mixer with Turbosound IQ12 speakers. I am totally sold on Music Group gear and thank Ryan Schmidt at Sweetwater for helping me understand how good Behringer has become as a manufacture and make the leap to the XR18.

studio ready

i was skeptical..bur proven so wrong. i used my pc to configure the mixer, set it and forget it. works great as a studio mixer. i use studio one and in 30 minutes was up and running and recording. the quality is wonderful. very clear and works great on a windows based os.i am very pleased.

This is one of the best gear purchases I've ever made. It sounds amazing for live use and recording, it is extremely flexible, and really powerful. I've used the apps for PC, Mac, Android and my iPod Touch. Everything is well laid out and very intuitive for anyone who has ever used a DAW. I use it with the P16 monitors, and it has made the entire live experience better for all.

Small Church

Right out of the box, the X18 Air was a big improvement over our old mixer. There was a learning curve, since neither of the users were experienced in mixing technology. Our junior warden had a musical background in playing guitar. It was a challenge to get the X Air programmed for our electric organ and choir speakers, but a new Bose L1. After several calls to Sweetwater, we figured out the X air probably had a defective speaker port. BANG a replacement was delivered a couple days later. The replacement unit is everything that was advertised. Our little church is rocking.
