Form, function, and flexibility
Touché subverts expectations as it reinvents them when it comes to modulation. Its simple shape and streamlined formfactor conceal a world of detailed, finely tuned possibilities. From its starting position, parameters can be assigned to both directions of the X-axis, doubling your opportunities for modulation while maintaining a sensitive response profile that can be easily customized. Similarly, Z-axis control is divided into front and back portions, each of which can be activated independently, simultaneously, or progressively from one end to the other. Touché also features responsive surface sensitivity, letting you tap, glide, and push across the top for smooth or percussive accentuations, easily tailored, toggled, and assigned to match your playing.
So much more than MIDI
Interoperative potential abounds with Touché, armed with an array of connectivity options. While it’s USB-powered, the USB-B port can double for connection with your DAW or computer-based rig. Four CV-Gate jacks handle each vector of expression, allowing you to integrate Touché into Eurorack and analog setups, completely reinventing your approach to classic synthesis. There are also two TRS MIDI ports — one in and one out — enabling elaborate MIDI-driven, dynamic performances across other instruments, controllers, and DAW-based configurations. Touché even comes boxed with two MIDI breakout cables with 5-pin DIN adapters, letting you get straight to work with whatever instrument you choose.
Deep control, deeper editing
Given the flexibility of Touché, the controller features an internal memory that houses more than 250 presets and 80+ mapping programs, designed to plug and play with most popular DAWs, plug-ins, instruments, and more. Expressive E’s own Lié mapping editor is also included, letting you customize sensitivity profiles, response curvatures, and any other parameter to save presets for future use across devices. Plus, Touché comes bundled with UVI Workstation, so you can dive straight into mastering your modulation with just a computer for expedited expressivity.
