These heads provide a mild cut of higher frequencies and have a great open, but slightly focused sound. My favorite thing about Evans heads, in general, is that I find a high level of consistency from head to head when tuning. I use a tunebot and these Evans heads tune easier to the standards I have had to use in the past but actually will tune more accurately than I have gotten the other brand I have been using. Typically, I can get my drums tunes within about .5Hz of target, but in some cases on my SQ1's the heads were dead on the target frequency all the way around. I didn't even know that was possible.

I bought this whole line of EC clear drum heads for the church drums, and I was a little nervous but it was worth it. To start they have a great variety of sounds, and we use them for Gospel - Rock and Mexican Style music at my church, and they deliver in every way. They are by far the best drum heads that we have bought, and because of the price but because of the sound. I would 100% recommend them to anyone!

A while back, I purchased a ddrum set here at SW and it's a great kit but after a while, I realized that a good part of it was that it came with these heads. No need for moon gels, tape or whatever else you have been doing. Nice, controlled, round, punchy tone and easy to tune, without sounding muffled. Absolutely perfect for recording! I started playing drums at 4 years old and I turned 60 in April,so I have tried them all. This is it! Look no further. I will be replacing the heads I have soon and there's no doubt it will be with more EC2

I bought the multipak and they look really cool for just a drum head. But they sound even better.

I just put the Evans EC2 Clears on my toms. I am amazed at how easy they were to tune. They make my fiberglass drums sound amazing. I have used another company for most of 35 years of playing, but I think it is time to switch to Evans for all of my drum heads.
Also excellent help from Sweetwater. I was going to use Evans Clear G14's. I received a call from the company rep. and he recommended I go with the EC2 instead. Thank you for the help.
