Powerful Octave Effects in a Tiny Enclosure

With the Sub ’N’ Up Mini, TC Electronic has taken the mammoth-sounding tones of the original Sub ’N’ Up pedal and crammed them into a pedal format that can find a home on even the most cramped pedalboards. You still have access to loading your favorite TonePrint, giving you the ultimate tonal platform for finding your personal sound. Controls for Sub, Up, and Dry blend the three signals together to taste. And you can still access the second octave down by utilizing the correct TonePrint. TC Electronic Sub ’N’ Up Mini Octaver Pedal Features:

  • Octave effects pedal in a micro housing

Reviews

Tracks great
This tracks and sounds great. Very tight sound.
Perfect, does its job
Very simple pedal with big tone. 3 controls, sub-octave, dry-signal, octave-up. Sounds great and has a wide variety of options for tone. Very small size, fit right in a tight spot on the pedal board but made a huge difference to my clean tone. Two thumbs up.
The original but smaller and just as cool
Takes chords and multiple strings like it's nothing, works on bass guitar below low E, I play in drop A and it tracks pretty well all the way down that low. Octave up and down is clean, adjustable, and awesome.
I still haven't played with the software that connects to it and wonder if I even have to, because it's already awesome.

Exactly what I needed.
This pedal is perfect. It's the least expensive, tiny, solidly built, not noisy, easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I always though of octave pedals as toys to make weird sounds that I would never use live. Most online demos show octave pedals fully engaged which give this over the top three basses playing at the same time nonsense. I added a little upper 10% and lower octave 5% and kept the dry signal at 85% and it gave me a fuller sound without sounding like a space ship landing. Like most pedals, if you don't turn everything to 11 and use it with restraint it is a great addition.

Superb n' Up Mini Octave Pedal
Works extremely well and can't imagine anything more most guitar or bass players might want from a mini pedal like this one. There are many good choices of Octave Pedals in the market. Yet, if pedal board efficiency and ease of use are priorities, hard to fathom a better choice. Love the quick, simple, and 'tweakable' tones that can be dialed in with this little gem of a pedal. Whether using in full-on Octave mode or nominally to provide a bit of depth and resonance, or anywhere in between, the tones are really quite good. No discernible floor noise level that I could detect.
