Makes You Feel Like You're Floating On Water

Sore back? Stiff neck? If you hurt after a long session, it's time to upgrade your chair. The Crown Seating Stealth Standard Chair's patented ZenWave motion technology makes you feel like you're floating on water, enabling forward movement without the harmful pressure. Its Active Tilt seat plate pivots with ease, supplying proper body alignment, while its free-float backrest gives you continuous support when you lean forward. Customizing the chair's position is a breeze using its three lever adjustments. Beyond that, its convex-shaped backrest delivers extreme comfort, massaging and improving blood flow to your lower back. Complete with breathable mesh to prevent perspiration buildup, the Stealth Standard Chair is a must have. And it's cheaper than a trip to the chiropractor.

Eliminate painful pressure points with ZenWave technology

When you sit in a typical chair, it puts pressure on your hip bones, tailbone, and legs. And when you lean forward to move a knob or fader, the pressure gets worse, causing even more discomfort. The Stealth Standard Chair eliminates these unhealthy pressure points using Crown Seating's patented ZenWave motion technology. This innovative design rolls with you as you move back and forth, giving you better support without placing stress on your body. The chair's high-strength fiber-reinforced frame exhibits unique flexing properties, which combine with the precise variable tensioning of its mesh support system, allowing weight and its corresponding pressure points to be optimally dispersed — regardless of your body's position.

Proper ergonomics are important

Like with any other physical activity, proper ergonomics are vital when working in your studio. In fact, arranging your gear incorrectly can cause health issues over time. The last thing you want is to have back problems. To prevent this, your gear should be placed at a comfortable height. You should be able to access your mixer or control surface with your wrists in a neutral position. The same goes for your keyboard and other gear. If you have to bend over or crane your body to reach something, it's not positioned correctly. We care about our customers here at Sweetwater, and we want you to stay healthy. Using a proper studio desk, along with a high-quality chair like the Stealth Standard Chair, helps you reach your gear without straining your body.

What is Certified Open Box Gear?

At Sweetwater, we're so picky that what we call "Certified Open Box" is actually better than what most music retailers sell as "new" gear! Our gear hasn't endured hundreds of people a week plunking away at all the keyboards, fumbling through Stairway to Heaven on every guitar or playing with every fader and knob on a mixer or control surface.

Certified Open Box (also known as a demo) means we’ve had it out of the box for our YouTube channel, displayed at events, tested in our studio, or maybe it was in a customer’s hands for a few days and isn’t ‘factory fresh’ as a result. Every Certified Open Box item we sell has Sweetwater’s 2-year Total Confidence Coverage™ warranty and has been tested and verified up to ‘new’ specs by our factory-authorized technicians to make sure it’s in perfect working order before we ship it to you.

When you buy a Certified Open Box item at Sweetwater, you get:
  • 2-year Total Confidence Coverage Warranty™!
  • Products inspected and tested by our factory-authorized techs, guaranteed to function like new (or better)!
  • FREE shipping on most items

Perfect Solution for Home Studio Back Woes
If you have the means to splurge a little, invest in this chair. You will not regret your decision. I've had my chair for about a week now and I honestly can't leave it!
Music background: Hip Hop Artist/Home Producer
It's Good, but Glued!!!!
There are plenty of good reviews for this chair, and it is a good seat. It has been good on my back, where other office seating has not.

One caveat: After really liking this chair and having purchased a second one for our studio, the first one we bought started to come apart at the two year mark. There are four rubber bushings that cushion the seat from the assembly, and these are glued (rubber to metal) to the heads of eight carriage bolts. This glue deteriorates over use. In my case, moderate use.

The company was responsive (within 24 hours). They told me to think of it like "brakes on a car... and the bushings wear out." Not really an accurate comparison (maybe if the brake pads fell off of the retainer brackets), but I am glad that I am getting replacement parts.

So this is a known issue and parts to fix it are available via the manufacturer.
Great Chair!
I write this review because this is the review I needed before buying this. I hope this helps other people who are considering this chair.

So, I had sat in this chair at the Fort Wayne store and loved it the minute i tried it out. I waited almost a year later after saving up to get it. I went to order online and was a little hesitant because of the negative reviews but after speaking with an associate who actually uses this chair, I ordered it. The return policy and warranty thru sweetwater alone gave me enough peace of mind from what the negative reviews were saying in case anything actually did go wrong. I was told just not to set the chair on fire or throw it out of a truck and I'll be fine.

Some people claimed it was squeaky, I did not have that. Some people claimed it rolled too much, I find it rolls just the way I want it to (not too little not too much). Some people claimed the fabric was uncomfortable, I disagree and it holds up nice. Some didnt like the height, I used the shortest hydraulic and its positioned nicely for my listening spot. Some people claimed it was very uncomfortable and didn't have any back issues (while admitting to working physically demanding jobs, mind you...). I am finding this chair is automatically allowing me to sit up straight. Since the back rest is positioned on the lower back and theres nothing supporting the top of your back, it straightens out your spine which will save you in the long run. I can see how if you arent used to that that will make the weak muscles in your back sore. Some claim the foot rest wheel is in a bad spot, which makes sense if you're sitting lower to the ground because it will have your knees way up in the air, which is weird. But if you're sitting low to the ground its more comfortable to have your feet on the floor anyway. I think the foot rest wheel makes sense if you're sitting higher up. Probably makes more sense for Front of House engineers with sound boards that are positioned higher.

Overall I think this chair is quite good. I think for the price it dang well should be!

The one thing I don't really care for, and this could be just to how my body is proportioned (I'd consider myself an extremely average male body type), is the arm rest could extend outwards (left and right) a little more but it's nothing positioning it downwards to get it out of the way cant fix.

Hope this helps! I recommend this chair to anyone who's serious about longevity in their field.

Amazing Chair!!!
This chair is a must have for any recording producer or studio engineer. It's great on the spine and for lengthy sitting.
The assembly is an easy process, and the build is sturdy. It's definitely worth the money and is far better than any Herman Miller chair!
Music background: RRHOF (Public Enemy), Composer, Producer, Educator, Ambassador
Please get it
This might be the only chair I ever buy again. It's super flexible for different speaker heights and more importantly comfort. You'll be happy you spent the money.
