Multiband Bass Compression in a Slim Size

The TC Electronic SpectraComp is a compact multiband compressor specially voiced for the bass guitar. The pedal is modeled after the popular MD3 engine from TC Electronic's System 6000 processor and offers transparent and musical compression to tame midrange bark and low-end woof without killing your dynamics. Single-knob compression will keep your mind on the music while you perform, and a host of signature TonePrint algorithms will keep your tones fresh and the creative juices flowing. The SpectraComp is built durable for the stage with studio-quality sounds and a True Bypass output to keep your input signal uncolored. If you're looking to add punch or subtly smooth out pops and thumps, Sweetwater bassists recommend taking the SpectraComp bass compressor for a spin.

TonePrint Mini pedals: simple, compact, and full featured

All TonePrint pedals give you access to over 30 years of free artist algorithms, called TonePrints, to spark new creative ideas. These can be downloaded and imported over USB, or even better, beamed instantly to your pedal using a smartphone and the free TonePrint app. TonePrint Minis are compact and full featured with analog circuitry you can trust and True Bypass outs to preserve your tone.

TC Electronic SpectraComp Bass Compressor TonePrint Mini Pedal Features:
  • Multiband bass compressor for the stage and studio
  • Based on the System 6000 MD3 engine
  • Versatile: adds punch, smooths out bass lines
  • TonePrint enabled: beam artist signature tones straight into the pedal
  • Single-knob operation lets you focus on the music and not on tweaking
  • Compact size is easy to fit on any board

Spectra Comp is awesome

This is the best compressor I've ever owned. Smooth, multi band compression. Doesn't get in the way.

Great pedal !

This is an excellent pedal and takes up very little space on my pedal board. TC Electronic has a great reputation for putting out some of the best gear on the market and this pedal is no exception. I use the "Captain East" tone print and get the punchy tone that I'm looking for. As always a huge thank you to the staff at Sweetwater for helping me get the gear that I need.

Compressa da bass!

Excellent sound from a small package. Used by many top pro bass players so I can feel confident that it will work for me as well. And it does! I use the "Straight Up The Middle" TonePrint and I get an optimum balanced compression from the lows to the highs. Just turn the knob to your liking and play. Easy.

Simple, great compressor.

I have been a fan of the TC Toneprint pedals for a while and was interested in this one right away. At first the control seemed too simple and I could not find a sound I liked with the factory toneprint. Then I connected to the toneprint editor (you will need to update your app to the most recent version 3...) and uploaded the Nathan East print "Captain East". WOW. This magic little blue box came to life. It smooths the peaks without killing the dynamics or tone and increases sustain without adding noise. Turn the knob up for more effect, turn the knob down for less effect, simple. Ran both passive (Rio Grande Muy Grande P-Bass) and active (EMG H) pickup configurations and they both sound great. So, in my opinion, the factory toneprint is not great but give this little guy a chance. Get the latest toneprint app, a 9 volt power supply, your bass rig, and a little time and you will be rewarded with some great sounds.

Simple operation, amazing tone

There are more complicated pedals that cost more and don't sound as good. This is so easy to use. I went through a few tone prints and in about 20 I found my favorite. I'm using the tone print SpectraComander which is perfect for Rock. My tone is so much better now, this will be on my board for a long time! Definitely worth the price.
