Seymour Duncan Pickups — It's All About Tone!

For bassists, the Quarter Pound for P Bass SPB-3 is a high-output true single-coil pickup. The P Bass is famous for strong, punchy mids, and adding the SPB-3 to your P Bass bolsters this with an amazing midrange response and hot output. Say goodbye to being buried in the mix, as the SPB-3 will punch through any mix, be it onstage or in the studio. The Quarter Pound for P-Bass SPB-3 works well in any genre.

Complete setup

The Quarter Pound for P Bass SPB-3 works well with warmer toned ash, alder, or basswood body instruments, and works especially well with rosewood fingerboards.

Reviews

Awesome
Came with very easy instructions and installation was good. The poles on these are quarter inch and much bigger than original pickups. On my Cort bass I'm about half volume and they push out great low end growl. I did pair them with new DiMarzio pots and run through a Hartke amp. Great replacement pups!!!!!!!
Music background: Played drums,sax,bass,6 and 12 string acoustic and electric
Great affordable upgrade
Put this pickup in my Dean Paramount (P-Bass copy), and it sounds great! Super punchy, I'm using $ pots with mine and it sounds very clear.
Squire 40th Anniversary P Bass
The stock pickup in this Squire was actually really good. However, the Duncan is better. Just sounds like a P Bass should.
The upgrade
Put in new pickups wanting more punch. It was a wise decision for me to do the pickup swap. Now I'm ready for the arena.
Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Ponder
The ultimate upgrade for any Fender MIM Precision Bass.
Music background: Gigging musician
