Those designs quickly caught on, and most well-known rock guitarists of the '80s were seen slinging one over their shoulder. The San Dimas continues to be one of their most popular designs from those days. And players like Warren DeMartini, Jake E. Lee, and Guthrie Govan are ensuring that these guitars stay well known for years to come.
Effortless playabilityThe ease of play that the Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH FR offers is what put the company on the map. They were some of the first guitars to offer a compound-radius fretboard that flattens out from 12" to 16" as you move up to the higher frets. The rolled fretboard edges on the hand-rubbed urethane-finished neck feel like a perfectly broken-in guitar right from the factory. And the Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking tremolo keeps your tuning rock solid while you enjoy maximum pitch control.
More tones than meets the eyeWhile the Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH FR excels at high-output, high-gain humbucker tones, the 3-way pickup selector and push-pull tone knob deliver six distinct sounds for fitting into most musical situations. Full humbucking and bell-like single-coil tones are both available. A no-load tone pot is completely removed from the signal path when turned all the way up, delivering a full signal from the Seymour Duncan JB and '59 humbuckers. And the classic construction of alder and maple are a great combination for a balanced tone.
