There are a lot of amazing compressors out there and at varying prices, but regardless of price, the Renaissance Compressor is a plug-in that will never disappoint or let you down. It's not a character compressor by any means, but you can get a bit of flavor going if you have the "warm" parameter engaged. All in all, this is an amazing compressor with phenomenal transparency, and if you don't have it, then you need to add it to the collection.

Since the early days of DAW software, Waves has been a dominating force in music and audio production. For those of us here at Sweetwater who've been recording since the industry switched over to computer-based studios, it's impossible to imagine sessions without L series Ultramaximizers, MaxxBass, and other staples.
