Get ready to get excited - the Pusher plug-in from Kush Audio is about to bestow upon you an unprecedented palette of complex transient and harmonic textures. With the Pusher, you'll be able to take ordinary sounds and inject them with a unique, saturated character that ridicules the natural laws of physics. Utilizing analog models of four magnetized metal cores in concert with a plethora of innovative controls, you'll mutate sound into colorations ranging from subtly sweet to freakishly alien! The Pusher features four analog-modeled metal cores - nickel, iron, cobalt, and steel. These virtual cores are charged by what Kush Audio is referring to as a "Flux Drive," which (in geek speak) is likely a reference to the scientific measurement of a quantity of magnetism as it passes through a surface. When a signal passes from the variable Flux Drive through the cores, the cores essentially act as an EQ, each imparting their own distinctive harmonic fingerprint on your sound. A Bias control can then be used to put stress on the cores in order to further shape your sound, which can be blended with the dry signal by means of a Blend control.

After your signal has been mangled by the Pusher's magnetic cores, it's slammed into a virtual diode limiter. Diode limiters, such as the Neve 2254 and the EMI TG12413, are known for their tough, heavy character. The Pusher's limiter utilizes three attack times - fast, medium, and slow, as well as a fully variable release. By employing the diode limiter, your sound will move, pump, and breathe in a radical fashion.

Make no mistake, the Pusher has a lot of controls on its stylish interface. Luckily, there are some built-in tools to help you navigate the Pusher's many parameters. The Preset Manager allows you to select, store, modify, add, and erase presents. There is also a yellow control near the Preset Manager that activates Cheat Mode. Cheat Mode generates labels that explain each of the Pusher's controls succinctly, so instead of trying to learn a complicated interface, you can get right to tweaking!
