PRS Amps for Your DAW
A collaboration between Waves and Paul Reed Smith, Waves' PRS SuperModels plug-in meticulously models three high-end PRS guitar amps: the coveted Archon, the legendary Dallas, and the ultra-rare Blue Sierra/V9. Quick and easy to use, with killer tones right out of the box, this software realistically models every component of these three amazing amplifiers. Every aspect of the circuitry was exhaustively modeled using Waves’ Precision Analog Component technology, with Paul Smith supplying Waves with the amplifiers and their schematics.

The amps
From shimmering cleans to bone-rattling crunch to face-melting distortion, the PRS Archon delivers lush tone by the boatload. With an arsenal of sumptuous gain on tap, the Archon is ideal for any musical genre. The PRS Dallas is based on a classic American 6L6 reverb amp. With its huge sound, the Dallas delivers sparkling cleans and multiple flavors of overdrive, along with great-sounding reverb. Originally designed by chief PRS amp designer Doug Sewell, this highly musical amp offers sweet highs, authoritative lows, and present midrange. The PRS Blue Sierra/V9, a prototype that became the J-MOD 100, has never been released as hardware. Now, this ultra-rare amp is yours in a plug-in. Bringing to mind certain boutique American guitar amps, Blue Sierra's big, dimensional sound ranges from clean to medium gain.
Mix and match Cab IRs
Because different speakers and speaker cabinets deliver different sounds. PRS SuperModels lets you choose from eight speaker cabinet IRs (impulse responses), recorded by Paul Reed Smith at his personal studio using his proven mics and preamps. As a bonus, you can add up to two simultaneous third-party IRs. SuperModels’ cutting-edge Phase Fix and Time Fix controls automatically correct any phase or latency issues between different IRs. Its Smart Mix control balances the perceived volume of IRs when you use two cabinets. An IR browser lets you automatically load and switch IRs, freeing you up for playing.
And more…
Each SuperModels amp boasts three more helpful features not included in the original amplifiers: a tone-shaping boost for when you need that extra push over the cliff that in the physical world might come from a boost pedal; a digital tuner for both standard and extended-range guitars; and a smart noise gate that senses at the input and gates at the output. With three boutique amplifiers to choose from, PRS SuperModels places countless tonal options at your fingertips. Sweetwater's advice: whether you're playing rock, jazz, metal, blues, country, or any combination thereof, Waves' PRS SuperModels has you covered for exquisite guitar tone.
