Dank Mics

Overall gnarly microphones, great response, very clear and can be used in many applications. For vocals, you can't go wrong with this mic and a pop filter! Very crisp, very sexy sounding mics. I bought two for stereo overhead drum mics and they work beautifully. I definitely suggest these to newbies and experts in the recording hobby!

I have a hobby studio and needed a small condenser for acoustic guitar. I'm giving it a 5 because it works so well with my Warm WA12 and it was 64.00!! I don't really know how this mic would sound without the WA12, but together, they surpass my expectations! Unlike my guitar playing skill :-/

Bang 4 the buck!!

I bought two on sale from Sweetwater just to have a couple of mics for a just in case moment. So far i've tried them on drum overheads. The 20db pad comes in handy. Put them up in a XY and within a couple of minutes they sounded good. With just a kick mic and the p170 pair the sound was full and detailed. No need to spend a ton of money to get a usable sound. I will buy a couple more at that price.

AKG P170

Excellent! I'm using the AKG P170 on my Zildjian 14" Master Sound Hi-Hat cymbals. Sounds Great! Thanks Kevin Scott!

Bought this mic because of the price and to use as a back up if needed. Singing Gospel music, people come to here a low bass and a high tenor. Used this for a rehearsal and all were blown away at the punch this little mic can pack. the clarity and tones were clean and clear. no regret in this purchase.
