Reviews

Quality Mic with Trusted service.
AKG is One of my favorite Bands. Really worth forthe money paid. Satisfied with the excellent service given by SWEETWATER and FedEX Express. Thank you so much. Looking forward to buy products from you in future.

One of the best Mics
One feature that I thought was really cool was the -20dB reduction and high pass filter for clean recording.
I would totally recommend for people who are beginning their journey into recording.

Best bang for buck starter mic.
I got this mic to replace a ten year old Flourean USB condenser mic I used to record podcasts, for that use, that mic worked fine, but since I'm shooting for a more professional audio quality in my voice acting and recordings, an upgrade to full XLR was logical.

I consulted with many audio engineers in the business, sent voice samples, and got a good reference as to what i needed to have in a mic for MY voice. (Shoutout to Voice Actors Club!)

Enter the AKG P120, nabbed it on sale... and have yet to look back.
Paired with a Behringer UMC-22, this thing makes the world of difference in audio quality.

Its not a "high end" mic from what ive been told, but it could have fooled me with the night and day audio difference.

If you're looking to make the jump to a more professional level of recording, this is where to start if you're on a budget, with this mic and a Behringer UMC Single in/out box, one can have studio quality recording *gear* for under $150.

You CAN use a universal shock mount with this mic, but you may have to fight to open the clamp up more than it will allow as i have mine, but it DOES hold it in place firmly, so skip the brand name shock mount if you cant afford it right now, and grab a universal clamp style like mine for the time.
Music background: Voice Actor.
Great for vocals!
For $ you can't beat this microphone. This is my go to for vocals.
Music background: Audio engineer, milti-instrumentalist
