Soar with the B.C. Rich Mockingbird Legacy ST
The longtime head of the Mockingbird flock, the Mockingbird Legacy ST delivers the highest level of B.C. Rich performance and a massive array of tone-sculpting tools. This guitar’s heel-less neck-through 3-piece maple neck grants you nearly endless sustain, while the nyatoh body and koa top form a tonal bedrock of warm lows, punchy mids, and clearly defined highs. If you’re after an axe ready to facilitate even the most fleet-fingered fretwork, you’ll take flight with the B.C. Rich Mockingbird Legacy ST’s 12-inch radius Indian ebony fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets, and ultra-fast Shredzilla Ultra Slim Contour neck profile. Next, switching on one of the dual DiMarzio D Activator humbucking pickups rewards you with hard-hitting active-like pickup tones in a battery-free design. You also get coil-split switches, a reverse-phase switch, and a 5-way B.C. Rich Varitone tone filter preamp to tweak your tone to the fullest. Take B.C. Rich’s half-century legacy of heavy metal excellence into your hands with the B.C. Rich Mockingbird Legacy ST!

Active pickup power — no battery required
This guitar’s dual DiMarzio D Activator humbucking pickups sport a passive design that replicates an active pickup’s pummeling power and punch, only with a slightly warmer and more organic response. DiMarzio tells Sweetwater that these pickups are designed to deliver an enhanced harmonic quality with your every note. Moreover, both pickups are fine-tuned so that although the bridge is 25% louder than the neck position, they’re perfectly balanced when you switch between pickup settings. Lastly, The Mockingbird Legacy ST also gives you access to coil-splitting switches, a reverse-phase switch, and (our favorite) a 5-way B.C. Rich Varitone tone filter preamp.

Top-class tonewoods from top to bottom
While B.C. Rich axes are beloved for their extravagant attitude, the B.C. Rich Mockingbird Legacy ST splits the difference between the brand’s iconic aggression and a more refined aesthetic. This guitar’s koa top harkens back to some of the most historic early-era, natural-finish B.C. Rich guitars, supported by a 3-piece maple neck-through construction and a nyatoh body. It all results in a sharply defined tone with a fast attack and near-endless sustain — a perfect tonal recipe for any inspiring shredder or high-gain enthusiast.
Built for dive-bombs and squealies
The Mockingbird Legacy ST can endure the most depraved of whammy abuse, thanks to its Floyd Rose 1000 Series locking tremolo. It can produce subtle, expressive warbles; although, that's probably not what you're aiming for. Never fear, this red-hot shredder also tackles screaming harmonic squealies and subterranean dive-bombs with equal aplomb. Even better, this trem's double-locking design delivers super-reliable tuning stability while enabling seemingly endless sustain. Simply put, if you tend to brutalize your whammy bar, the Mockingbird Legacy ST can withstand everything you dish out.
