Favorite Mic For Major Tours!

The M 88 offers both a wide frequency response and rugged construction making an ideal combination for many applications. In the studio and live, its high SPL capability allows the microphone to be placed close to loud sound sources such as kick drum and bass guitar. It is also equally impressive as a vocal microphone or for brass and woodwind instruments.

The TourGroup version (M 88 TG) has a reinforced basket to withstand rough handling when being used for more demanding applications. The M 88 is often used in a broadcast environment as an announcer's or EFP microphone.

  • Highly defined hypercardioid polar characteristic

  • Sensitive, accurate response
  • Extended frequency range with rising high end and exceptional bass reproduction
  • High SPL handling capability
  • Integral -20 dB humbucking filter

Great on Male vocals

My friends and I did a mic shootout at the start of our band, and I ended up selecting this mic over a shure vocal mic and another two. I've been performing with this mic for about two years now, it sounds great on my voice, adds a certain weight and roundness to my voice. I haven't tried this for recording, but during a test through a Forssell SMP-2A preamp, it sounded delicious.

Absolute show stopper

Put this mic I front of your brass and never look back. Crystal clear and present without being harsh or airy. I can't wait to try this mic on other instruments. I want a whole closet full.

Been using this mic for years as a lead vocalist, and it has never failed me. I also just used in the studio for the first time on guitar cabs and horns. Excellent! If you're a vocalist with serious pipes, this is the mic for you!

Guitar Amp HEAVEN!

Use is on guitar amps. Straight on about 4-5 inches away and it is perfect!!! Very smooth. I have used 57's for 20-25 years and now they just gather dust. LOVE THIS MIC!!!

step's show time!!!

I bought this mic at the recommendation of my Rep. at sweetwater mr. wayne davis. as usual he knew what would work for me. i'am a 64 yr old harmonica player who has only been playing for about 4 old mic was a shure that was made in 1968. I've played 2 shows with the mic and i'am totally blown away by it's can get right up on it and blow your brains out with no feedback.i'am very impressed.the sound is incredible. the only negative thing i have to say is that you can't get lazy when playing this mic...your mistakes become alot more every time i step up....even at home "it's show time"'s making me a better musician.
